Helene Clarke MBACP (Accred)

I am a BACP Accredited psychodynamic counsellor/psychotherapist working on a one-to-one basis with adults aged 18 and above. I am warm, down to earth and am passionate about what I do.

I have worked with a broad range of issues including depression, low self-esteem, anxiety, understanding and managing anger, relationship difficulties, abuse, traumatic experiences, parenting and family issues, infertility, bereavement and loss, eating disorders, addiction, self-harm, health issues and work-related problems.

I am an accredited member of the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by its Code of Ethics and professional standards.

This includes adhering to a strict code of confidentiality, ensuring my work is appropriately supervised and undertaking regular continuous professional development.

I have an enhanced certificate from the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and hold full Professional Indemnity Insurance.

I have completed a rigorous five-year BACP accredited training and hold the following qualifications:

  • Advanced Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling
  • Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling
  • Certificate in Psychodynamic Counselling

As well as running my private practice, I am also a tutor for an accredited counselling course.

I have many years’ prior experience working for the charity Family Lives, where I supported individuals struggling with different aspects of parenting and family life.

A previous career in training and organisational development (in banking and the legal profession) and an MA in Human Resources Management has also given me a good understanding of work-related issues and stress.
